Luca will take part in the GT Open with Team Villois The year-long friendship between the Team Villois and Luca eventually led to the Italian taking part into the GT Open, the grand tourer-style sports car racing founded in 2006. Luca was more than happy to welcome the proposal of the team based in the same area where he himself was born, so that he will join the race that will take place at the Valencia street circuit next 26th/27th July driving an Aston Martin car. The team Villois, led by Chicco Villois, first appeared in the official championship sphere in 2007 and has already provided evidence of its being very competitive. Able to gain results that reward the team's passionate committment, Villois Racing operates through the prestigious English brand that matches high performance with a special care for details. The race in Valencia is bound to be a momentous event, since it will be the very first to be ever set on the brand new, challenging circuit, with tight turns that remind of the Montecarlo circuit. The same circuit will then host the F1 and GP2 Series races, so that Luca will be there again later. "I'm very happy to race in Valencia together with my friend Villois and a Cuneo-based team", Luca says. "It will be a good oppotunity for me to test this wonderful new circuit also".
